Hi, I’m Kim!

I grew up in North Jersey with an animal loving family. We always had a variety of rescue dogs at a time, as well as cats and horses. I rode horses competitively and started my training journey with horses! I loved teaching my horse tricks and bonding with him through training. I was so proud when I taught him to nod his head when I asked “Are you a good boy?”

I moved to the Philly area for college when I was 18 and studied Spanish and International Relations at Arcadia University. I studied abroad in Spain and then went back to Spain after graduating to teach English at the University of Castilla la Mancha in Toledo. While there I found my dog, Indy, on the street on the 4th of July in 2013. I named her Indy for Independence Day. She was a foster puppy who got adopted and quickly returned. She was a tough puppy and made me question my life choices. I worked on training with her to try to get her to be less of a hassle. We found trick training and we LOVED it! It was fun with no real expectations.

We took our first training class in 2016 when the pet insurance company I worked for at the time offered classes. We loved it and I was offered a job working with the dog training company, which I would eventually accept in 2017! I trained dogs professionally part time until 2021 when I decided to leave corporate and pursue dog training and real estate full time! I love being able to help people (and dogs!) in both of my careers.

In 2024 I launched Bad Bitch Dog Training and I’ve been able to help more rescues, fosters, and families ever since! I donate time to both ACCT Philly and Familiar Hearts Animal Society.

I am with the Main Street team for my real estate endeavors and I love old houses, houses with lots of character, and making sure my clients and their pets find the best house for their needs.

I have been fostering cats and kittens regularly since 2017 and have fostered well over 100 and found homes for all of them.

In my free time I love hiking with my dogs, going on trips to the mountains with my partner, hitting the gym, and spending time with my friends. In the summer you’ll often find us splashing in the Darby Creek or down in Wildwood.

Indy Ana

Indy is a 12 year old mix breed dog from Toledo, Spain. She loves playing fetch, going on hikes, outdoor dining, and sleeping under the covers. She is the baddest B of them all and the company’s name sake. While she may be a B, she’s smart, loving, and a great teacher for puppies!

She has earned her Canine Good Citizen and various trick dog titles. She is smart and loves training and learning.

Being the oldest of the furry team, she has mostly retired from helping me with lessons!

Fitz Gerald

Fitz is a 9 year old mix breed dog from upstate NY. He was trapped with his siblings in a field when they were 6 months old. They were feral and needed to learn how to be a pet dog. Fitz was bounced around from foster home to shelter until he was a year and a half old and Kim’s friend told her about a foster dog her friend had. Kim and Indy drove up to Animal Care Sanctuary in East Smithfield, PA to meet him. He was so scared and Kim didn’t realize how extreme fear could be!

Fitz taught her how to advocate for fearful dogs and how to build their confidence and connections with others.

Fitz helps with other fearful dogs now by being a gentle presence for dogs that may be afraid of other dogs.

Rudy

Rudy is a 2 year old lab/german shepherd mix from North Carolina. He was brought up to PA when he was 4 months old through Noah’s Ark Rescue Project and Sanctuary with his siblings. Kim took him in as a foster and fell in love with him, but had a hard limit of two dogs. He was adopted and returned 2 months later for being too much. Kim took him back with open arms and has found a balance with three dogs.

Rudy loves to play fetch, catch frisbees, and swim. He has introduced Kim to the dog sport world and hopes to compete in dock diving!

Rudy helps me with reactive dogs by being a good neutral dog for them to practice near.
